KNDD "DEVRY BATTLE OF THE BANDS CONTEST RULES”
Valid from March 26, 200 through October 1, 2007

WHO CAN ENTER:

1. Entrants must residents of Washington State and legal residents of the United States.
 
2. Employees of Entercom Communications Corp., Entercom Seattle, LLC, KNDD, their respective affiliated companies, employees, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies (collectively, the “Sponsors”), any other Seattle area radio stations and the immediate family and household members of each are ineligible.  Immediate families include spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children, grandchildren, roommates and cohabitating partners.

3.  Among other things described below, KNDD  may require proof of age, identification, residency and/or social security number prior to delivering a prize.

4.  Only one entry per artist/band in this contest will be permitted. 

HOW TO ENTER:

1. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

2. Starting MARCH 26th 2007 through APRIL 22, 2007 to enter artist/band must submit ONE song for consideration to the website:1077theend.imeem.com in the formats specified by that site.  The song must be original, created and performed by the person submitting it.   Only one song may be submitted per artist or band.  Artist/band must submit a contact phone number and email to 1077theend.imeem.com. 

4. All entries must be received by KNDD on the website 1077theend.imeem.com no later than April 22, 2007 at 3:00pm

5. The Sponsors are not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected mail or electronic mail.  Sponsors are not responsible for any technical difficulties experienced due to loss of phone service, electronic problems or any other factor that may prevent an individual from receiving or completing a phone call or accessing the KNDD website or 1077theend.imeem.com website, or for any technical malfunction related to any telephone connection, servers, routers, or any other technical problem that may impact participation.

6. Incomplete entries may be disqualified in Sponsor’s sole discretion. All entries become the property of Sponsor and may not be acknowledged or returned. 

7. By entering this contest, entrants understand and agree that Sponsors may elect to use any entry submitted for entertainment purposes on-air and may choose to “make fun” of any entry submitted.  Entrants waive any right to make any claim against Sponsors with respect to any disparaging comment made on-air about such entrant’s entry.   Sponsors may use artist/band submissions in anyway they wish, including but not limited to commercials and marketing.

HOW TO WIN:

2. Judges designated by KNDD will choose 10 bands to compete in the Finals for the Grand Prize.   Finalists will be contacted by KNDD.  The 10 selected finalists will be posted on 1077theend.imeem.com and on 1077theend.com. Selection of the top 10 bands will be in the sole discretion of the Judges, on any criteria they deem desirable, and is not subject to dispute or appeal.

3. Finalists will be contacted by KNDD by telephone or email as they are selected after April 22h 2007.  Sponsors will only be required to leave one message at the number provided by that entrant and if no answer or answering machine is reached, Sponsors will not be obligated to attempt any further contact.  However, Sponsors reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to attempt to contact any entrant more than once and shall not be required to attempt to contact all entrants an equal number of times.

4. Grand Prize Winner will be selected by voting on 1077theend.imeem.com. Listeners will be invited to go to 1077theend.imeem.com to vote for one of the 5 Finalists, to select a Grand Prizewinner.  Voting begins April 30th with voting ending June 30th.  Voting will be based on Listener Votes, Number of times a video or song is listened too/watched, listener comments, and listener ratings to prevent fraud. 

5. The Grand Prize winner will be announced after June 30th  on a date to be determined by KNDD.  Grand Prize Winner is not subject to dispute or appeal.  Grand prize winner will be notified by telephone or email as well as posted on 1077theend.imeem.com and 1077theend.com

6. The Grand Prize winner, will be invited to perform at Endfest 16.  Location, date and time to be arranged by KNDD.  If the grand prize winner is unable to perform at Endfest 16 they forfeit their prize and KNDD will choose an alternate winner. 

7. KNDD is not responsible for providing transportation, equipment or amenities to any band selected for the Finals or the Grand Prize Winner

PRIZE(S)/ODDS OF WINNING/SIGNIFICANT RESTRICTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

1.  Odds of being selected as a Finalists depend on total number of entries.  Odds of a Finalist winning Grand Prize will be no greater than 1 in 5.

2. Finalists will not be awarded any prize in this contest.   Subject to the requirements, restrictions and limitations described in these contest rules

3. Grand Prize Winner will receive:
§ An opening spot at 2007 ENDFEST 16, TBD location and date

4. If the Grand Prize Winner is forfeited an alternate grand prize winner will be selected.  

6.   The Sponsors reserve the right to examine identification and may reasonably choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.

7.   Regardless of the circumstances, there will be no cash alternatives for prizes.

8.    Grand Prize has no monetary value.  However should the issue arise, Winners are responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on the prizes won based on the estimated retail value of the prize received and will receive one or more IRS 1099 for the value of the all prizes received.

OTHER CONTEST RULES:
1. By participating in this contest, each entrant hereby consents to KNDD using the contestant’s name, voice, likeness, biographical information, entry/essay contents, his/her participation in the contest, and the substance of the contestant’s entry (in whole or in part) for on-air broadcast, recording and for advertising and promotional purposes.  Entrant agrees that no compensation will be paid for such usage.
2.  In the event of any dispute or contest rule interpretation, KNDD Management shall be the sole arbiters in all matters relating to the contest and the interpretation of contest rules.  The decisions of KNDD Management shall be final. 
3.  Entry into this contest constitutes agreement by contestant to abide by these rules.

5. KNDD  contests are subject to all applicable laws and regulations and are void when prohibited.  Sponsors and their parents, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliated companies, accept no responsibility of liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from (a) participation in the contest and/or (b) the acceptance, possession and/or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
6. KNDD reserves the right to change, alter or modify these rules at any time with or without written notice.  These contest rules supercede, to the extent only of any conflict, KNDDs general contest rules.
7. KNDD reserves the right to end or stop any contest at any time and for any reason.
